How does your eDPI compare?
Most professional players use an eDPI between 200-800
💡 Pro Tip
Lower eDPI provides better precision but requires more desk space. Most pros use 400-600 eDPI.
🎯 Finding Your eDPI
Start with 400-500 eDPI and adjust based on comfort. Test in-game and fine-tune gradually.
What is eDPI?
eDPI (Effective DPI) is a universal measurement that combines your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity into a single number. It's calculated by multiplying your mouse DPI by your in-game sensitivity value.
eDPI = DPI × In-Game Sensitivity
Example: 800 DPI × 0.5 sensitivity = 400 eDPI
eDPI allows you to compare sensitivity settings across different games, mice, and setups. It's especially useful when switching between games or comparing your settings with professional players.

How to Use the eDPI Calculator
Using our eDPI calculator is simple. Enter your mouse DPI (usually found in your mouse software) and your in-game sensitivity value. The calculator will instantly show your effective DPI, along with your cm/360 measurement for reference.
eDPI vs cm/360: Which is Better?
Both eDPI and cm/360 are useful metrics, but they serve different purposes. eDPI is great for quick comparisons and is commonly used in the gaming community. However, cm/360 (centimeters per 360-degree turn) is more universal because it represents actual physical mouse movement, making it independent of game-specific sensitivity scales.
Professional players often use both metrics: eDPI for quick reference within a specific game, and cm/360 for maintaining consistency across different games. Our calculator provides both values so you can use whichever metric you prefer.
Finding Your Optimal eDPI
There's no "perfect" eDPI that works for everyone. Your optimal eDPI depends on your playstyle, the games you play, your mousepad size, and personal preference. However, most professional FPS players use an eDPI between 200-800, with the majority falling in the 400-600 range.
To find your optimal eDPI, start with a value in the middle range (around 400-500) and adjust based on your comfort. If you find yourself overshooting targets, lower your eDPI. If you can't turn fast enough, increase it. Remember that lower eDPI generally provides better precision but requires more desk space.
